About Us
Mimi’s House was developed to fulfill a fundamental belief – we must do more to care for our loved ones.
With aging comes great change. Changes in health, the role within family, and what we can look forward to getting out of every single day. This is often a time of transition away from independence, a time when we must depend on family and friends to help us make important decisions about the future.
Mimi’s House provides a safe, comfortable and loving home for seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, and functional mobility. It’s where you’ll be cared for with compassion and respect. Mimi’s House is where you’ll truly be at home.
At Mimi’s House, we embrace the promise of each new day. We really do believe there is a purpose for being together, something that connects us to each other and the world around us. We find this in the people we meet and the environment in which we live. Mimi’s House is here to help you find the joy in every new day. A place where you’ll truly be at home.
When it’s time to consider new living arrangements, you want a place that makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Mimi’s House is home to our residents. That’s why we’re always open to family members, encouraging them to visit frequently and share in our meals and activities.
Mimi’s House provides a resident-to-caregiver ratio of 4 to 1. That means each of our caregivers will be responsible for the care and comfort of only four residents throughout the day. This lower ratio allows more time to get to know you and understand your needs and preferences. You’ll form stronger relationships with residents and staff and have a better life experience.
We provide social, emotional and cognitive support and stimulation through a variety of daily activities to help you get the most out of life each and every day. And we communicate honestly and frequently with family members so they can stay up to date on your health and well being.

I started Mimi’s House with my husband, Mark Hutton, in 2018. We are both passionate about providing high-quality care for seniors in a friendly, welcoming environment.
I have been a speech-language pathologist for more than 30 years, specializing in the care of geriatric patients. This includes nearly a decade of experience in nursing homes where I have extensive experience working with those living with dementia and the effects of strokes.
When my own mother’s health was failing, it was clear that she was no longer safe living alone. Convincing her to leave home and relinquish some independence was difficult, and it was made more challenging by the lack of suitable facilities we were able to offer her.
I am passionate about providing high-quality care for seniors in a comfortable environment when living at home is no longer a safe or viable option. It’s our mission to do more to care for our loved ones. Mimi’s House provides a more enriching home alternative for seniors during this important time.

Developing strong relationships is important to me. Fortunately, I have found the strongest and most important relationship in my marriage to Janet. We share a deep affection for our parents, families and friends, and are committed to helping those in need.
Like Janet, I have thought considerably about the needs of my aging parents. Their future comfort and security are of the utmost importance, and Mimi’s House is a way I can call upon my strengths and experience to create a solution for families like ours, who are looking forward to some of our greatest years ahead.
I am a trained engineer with more than 27 years of experience in a variety of mechanical industries. I am also an active real estate investor and property manager who understands the needs of builders and residents alike. Mimi’s House has been developed to meet the specific needs of residents who want a comfortable, safe environment, one that accommodates those who may have limited mobility or difficulties with the activities of daily living.
Together, Janet and I are committed to offering a more fulfilling living experience and quality of life for our residents.
Mimi’s House is not a nursing home. We’re a residential assisted living home located in Loveland, OH. We provide our residents with assistance in activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, and functional mobility.
Mimi’s House does not provide medical care, but we do assist our residents with daily medications and follow any necessary nutritional or assistance plans provided by medical professionals.
By far, resident-to-caregiver ratio is the biggest factor in determining quality of care. Mimi’s House provides a resident-to-caregiver ratio of 4 to 1. That means each of our caregivers will be responsible for the care and comfort of only four residents throughout the day. At night, when residents are typically resting, our resident-to-caregiver ratio is 8 to 1.
Yes, Mimi’s House is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Residential Care Facility.
Our caregivers are State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) who provide assistance with the activities of daily living. We carefully vet and train caregivers to ensure they have the experience, temperament and patience required to provide exceptional care for our residents.
Mimi’s House is a private-pay facility. However, we do accept payments from private insurance if your coverage includes a provision for long-term care. Your monthly fee covers all expenses, including rent, caregivers, meals, on-site recreational activities, assistance with medications, and other activities of daily living.
We are unable to accept payment from Medicare or Medicaid.
Each of our 8 private rooms is fully furnished and includes a wall-mounted television. However, we want Mimi’s House to be your home. We’ll work with you to include furniture or décor of your own to personalize your room.
